Medela breast pump Complaints - product failed during warranty period; but no service provided

I purchased a Medela electric breast pump on Aug 9th, 2012 due to a medical issue in breastfeeding. The product has a 6 month warranty period. By the following month (Sept, 2012), the product stopped working. I followed the manual instructions but in vain. When I called up, I was directed to a vendor who undertakes such repairs. This vendor mentioned Rs.500 for home service or come to Borivili for getting the product repaired. Imagine the frustration when most of my time goes in baby-sitting!! Very disappointed with Babyoye whose brand name I trusted and bought the product!!
